Well I
have sold the car :(
Don't worry it has gone to a good home.
I did however keep the custom parts and wheels
to put on my new project.
More info to come soon.
It will be another GSL-SE with a few more tweaks.
MANY more tweaks to come !

Sad day for the Max7 car.............
It appears
I'm fighting a loosing battle with the evil one.......

I think
it's time to find a replacement for the car.
I no longer feel the need to put more money into it.
I will be
stripping the car to the bone and be transferring
all of the good parts to the new car.
So I will soon be on the lookout for a RUST free 84-85 GSL-SE
car or perhaps a mint 84-85 12A since I still plan on doing
the Turbo conversion anyways.
Don't worry.....the next project will be even better !

Well all
the new found power with the clutch found its
way to the weakest link, which turned out to be 3rd gear.
It was a used tranny with an unknown amount of miles
on it, so know telling what condition it was in.
While
driving "normally" (yea right) Going into 3rd produced
a rather loud crunch. I figured 1st or 2nd would be the first
to go, but I guess I was wrong.
So it's off to replace the "4-speed" tranny with another.

just
to let everyone know my car was the victim of a hit and run accident.
parked out in front of my house since the driveway was being resurfaced.
someone decided it would make a great target for their bumper. no
structural damage from the way it was hit, however the rear driver side
quarter is
pretty much toast and the rim will need replaced or or some grinding an
polishing.
they hit along the side of the car so it wasn't to bad, they hit my
mirror too which knocked the glass clean to the other side of the car.
and in the process bent up the door area around it pretty good. also
cracked the rear taillight lens. So it looks like I will be rearranging the schedule a bit, and getting it painted sooner that I want. Oh well,
just last weekend at the
picnic I was talking about how everyone else is getting bodywork done
and how I'd like to a get a paint job. So watch out for what you
wish for.
